The UAE Ministry of Interior on Tuesday announced that classes in public schools will resume on January 3.

On the official Twitter account of the Ministry, it said: “Studies will resume in public schools for the second semester, starting from Sunday 01/03/2021 for all students and administrative, technical and teaching bodies.”

It added that classes in public schools will be hosted remotely.

“In principle, it has been decided that the study for all students will be “remote” in the first two weeks, and according to the health situation and developments, the necessary measures will be taken in the interest of the students, and the hours will be according to the school schedules and the time distribution prior to the first semester,” the Ministry said.

A decision on the mode of education will be updated after two weeks, depending on the COVID-19 situations.
