Residents in the UAE have been warned not to organize parties for the upcoming New Year’s Eve, with violators to face heavy fines amounting to thousands of dirhams.
The Dubai Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management stated the organizer of the private party will be fined AED 50,000 (Php 655,000+) while each attendee will be fined AED 15,000 (Php 196,000+).

Authorities remind that social gatherings of over 30 people remain prohibited and that inspections will be conducted to ensure compliance with preventive measures. Violators will face legal action and measures.
Those who will hold gatherings should comply with social distancing guidelines and strictly follow the rule of one person per four sq. m. of venue space.
