A magnitude 6.3 earthquake shook Calatagan, Batangas on Christmas morning at around 7:43 AM (3:43 AM UAE time).

Reports from the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS-DOST) state that Intensity V reached neighboring provinces of Cavite and Laguna as well.
