Boracay officials have arrested six tourists for giving false RT-PCR test results for COVID-19.

Provincial Director Police Colonel Esmeraldo Osia said that the six tourists were from Metro Manila and they entered the island last December 5.

The tourist composed of two men and four women were put under a quarantine facility after the police received information that the test results they presented were fake.

The group will need to stay for 14 days in the quarantine facility and is now facing multiple charges.

They were supposed to return to Manila on December 9.
