The policeman who shot a mother and son in Paniqui, Tarlac has long had disputes with the victims over a right of way, according to police.

Their dispute has been dragged in an alteration between the suspect and the victims last Sunday, according to Paniqui Municipal Police chief Police Lt. Col. Noriel Rombaoa.

This time, the suspect named Police Senior Master Sergeant Jonel Nuezca went to the house of the victims identified as Sonya Gregorio, 52, and her son Frank, 25.

According to Rombaoa’s interview with DZBB, Frank and the policeman first had a spat over the use of ‘boga’, an improvised canon-like device.

“Gustong pumunta doon para komprontahin sila. ‘Yun nga naungkat na ‘yung usapin dyan sa right of way na ‘yan,” said Rombaoa.

The incident, which was caught on video and circulated on social media, ended tragically after the policeman shot the victims point-blank.

Two fired bullets were recovered in the crime scene.

Nuezca was taken into custody of Paniqui Police. He is facing double murder charges.
