President Rodrigo Duterte has condemned the slay of a mother and son in Paniqui, Tarlac by a police office, describing the suspect as “may sakit sa utak”.

The President watched the viral video of the killing on Monday evening, according to a photo taken by Sen. Bong Go.

“You do not follow the law, mag-salvage ka, mag-patay ka… That is not part of our agreement on how we should do our work,” Duterte said.

He added: “Pakainin niyo ng COVID ‘yung ulol na ‘yun,”.

However, he said it was only an isolated case. “Isa lang itong klase ng pulis na ito. May sakit ito sa utak. Topak.”

Police Senior Master Sergeant Jonel Nuezca shot Sonya Gregorio, 52, and her son Frank, 25, in front of their relatives when a heated confrontation ensued over the victims’ use of boga, an improvised canon-like noisemaker.
