A woman was left with a huge bill of £2,300 (Php 130,000+) after she tried to ‘test’ the generosity of the man she’s seeing on a blind date.

Liu, the 29-year-old man from the eastern Chinese province of Zhejiang was shocked when the Chinese woman invited 23 of her relatives essentially turning what should have been a candle-lit dinner for two into a huge banquet without even telling him in the first place, as per reports from the Taizhou Evening News.

Reports further that the man’s mother initially set up the date with her son and the woman, as she was worried that her son was still single at that age.

Liu then offered to pay for the dinner thinking that it would only be the two of them.

The woman was shocked in turn when she found out that Liu had already escaped from the restaurant, leaving her with the £2,300 bill after her relatives ordered expensive drinks and dishes.

After the incident, the woman and Liu reached an agreement where Liu would pay a small part of the banquet, with the majority of the bill split among her relatives.
