Action star Robin Padilla is now among the list of Filipino celebrities who have been victimized by social media death hoax.

Padilla took to Instagram to express his dismay and posted a prayer to seek guidance so that he could take appropriate action towards those who spread the fake news.

“In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful, say: I seek refuge with the Lord of the Dawn, from anything harmful in Creation, from the evil of darkness as it spreads, from the evil of knotted spells, from the evil of the envier when he envies,” read the post.

His wife, Mariel Rodriguez, shared Robin’s sentiments saying that death hoaxes always target showbiz personalities as of late: “Lagi na lang noh babe? Lagi sila may ganyan…,” said Rodriguez.

Padilla then stated that he already filed a complaint to the NBI cybercrime division to help him pinpoint the post’s origins, but stated that his initial complaint from 2016 has yet to provide any hope.
