The Paranaque City cop charged with the killing of a mother and her son in Paniqui, Tarlac was dismissed from service.

Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Gen. Debold Sinas made this announcement during his media briefing in Camp Crame today, January 11, 2021.

The decision came after the Internal Affairs Service of the PNP recommended for Police Staff Sergeant Jonel Nuezca’s dismissal following the widespread outrage over the killing of his two neighbors Sonya Gregorio and her son Frank Anthony.

Sinas said that the dismissal, which took effect today, was already implemented by the regional director of National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO), Police Brig. Gen. Vicente Danao Jr.

Nuezca was previously assigned to the Paranaque City Crime Laboratory.

He still faces two murder cases at the Tarlac Regional Trial Court Branch 106, where he entered a “not guilty” plea. (ES)
