If he were to choose, Senator Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa will prefer to have China’s Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccine.

Dela Rosa said he conducted his own research and for him, Sinopharm is the safest vaccine among other brands, a report by inquirer.net said.

“If Secretary Galvez asks me which brand I would prefer, I think I want Sinopharm. Because I conducted my own research and it shows it has the safest technology,” the Senator said in a radio interview over DWIZ.

Dela Rosa added he will not hesitate to get inoculated publicly if the vaccine is approved by the government.

“Yes and I hope the vaccine comes from Sec Galvez, not the illegal ones,” he said.

Sinopharm, which has a 79 percent efficacy rate, has yet to apply for an emergency use authorization from the Food and Drug Administration in the Philippines.

Other countries, including the UAE, has already approved the emergency use of the Sinopharm jab. (CC)
