The family of flight attendant Christine Dacera is not giving up on her case yet, saying that there was a crime committed.
The claims were made even if the recent Philippine National Police report showed that Christine died of natural causes.
“The Dacera family decided to insist on a DNA examination of all specimens mentioned by Dr. Palmero, of all organs allegedly examined inside the body of Christine,” lawyer Brick Reyes said.
Reyes said that the DNA examination will ensure that the organs examined by the PNP belonged to Christine, even if it means the case will take longer than expected.
“Malay mo pinalitan ang mga organs dito. If we can establish that some organs are not the organs of Christine, then we have a different situation. That means to say mayroon ng kalokohan dito,” Reyes added.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Joseph Palmero, medico legal officer, states that Dacera, 23, died of a ruptured aortic aneurysm.
The family disputed this saying Christine is healthy based on her recent medical exam as flight attendant.
“Hindi maaari na mayroong siyang enlarged heart, otherwise lumabas na ‘yun sa medical examination ng Philippine Airlines. Mayroon kaming kopya dito ng kaniyang medical examination sa PAL. The PAL medical examination states heart, normal. No hypertension,” he added.
The lawyer said that there could be a coverup on Christine’s death. The family also believe that she was raped or sexually assaulted.
“Naniniwala sila na there were drugs and sexual molestation of Christine,” Reyes said. (TDT)
