Filipinos and other residents in the UAE can enjoy unlimited hours speaking with their loved ones overseas this holiday over video calls after two companies have announced lifting caps on talk time.
Zoom has officially announced that it will be lifting its 40-minute cap on conversations worldwide from late December to early January as part of the company’s gift for its free users for the season.

“Whether coming together on the final day of Hanukkah, celebrating Christmas, ringing in the New Year, or marking the last days of Kwanzaa, those connecting with friends and family won’t get cut short,” as per a Zoom spokesperson in a report from Reuters.
Zoom became more popular among UAE residents, especially Filipinos, who have been using the free video conferencing app to contact their loved ones back home – especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Meanwhile, Google Meet earlier announced that free users need not worry about the 60 minute cap which has been lifted until March 2021.
