Six people who participated in the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine trials have died due to various complications, as per official documents from Pfizer released on December 10.
Reports reveal that of the six people, two were inoculated with the vaccine, while the other four individuals received a placebo.

The Pfizer document also outlined the manner of death of all six individuals as follows:
– One of the older individuals who received the vaccine died three days after the first dose due to arteriosclerosis.
– The other older individual who received the had a cardiac arrest 60 days after the second dose and died three days later.
– Two of the young participants for the vaccine study who got a placebo died of unknown causes.
– One of the older participants in the placebo group suffered a hemorrhagic stroke 15 days after Dose 2 and died the next day.
– The other older participant in the placebo group experienced a myocardial infarction 16 days after Dose 1 and died the same day.

The reports clarify that all deaths had been deemed not to be related to the vaccine.
“None of these deaths were assessed by the investigator as related to study intervention. All deaths represent events that occur in the general population of the age groups where they occurred, at a similar rate,” said the report.
Earlier, UK and Bahrain were the first two countries in the world to approve the use of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine for their residents. US followed shortly after as of December 12.
