Police Senior Master Sergeant Jonel Nuezca, the policeman who had gone viral over the killing of his two defenseless neighbors, had already been charged twice for grave misconduct as he was linked to two homicide cases last May and December 2019.

A file obtained by GMA News Online from PRO III chief Police Brigadier General Valeriano De Leon shows that the two cases had been dismissed due to lack of substantial evidence.

Prior to these cases, Nuezca also faced several cases which trace back to 2010 when he was suspended for 10 days. This was followed by an admin case in 2013 and a less grave neglect of duty for refusing to do a drug test and leaving the testing without clearance in 2014

In 2016, Nuezca faced serious neglect of duty for his failure to attend a court hearing as a prosecution witness of a drug case.

On the evening of December 20, the chief of police of Rosales Municipal Police Station (MPS) in Pangasinan called the Paniqui Municipal Police Station and confirmed that the suspect surrendered.

“If what’s on the video tells the whole story, I enjoin the Philippine National Police leadership to show no mercy. They should spare no effort to make sure that he rots in jail. He’s the last policeman that they need in the force,” Senator Ping Lacson said in a statement.
