Armed individuals found guilty of robbery will be sentenced to life or term imprisonment.
The UAE Public Prosecution reminds residents and citizens that this sentence applies to those who perpetrate a crime of robbery on public roads or through land, sea or air transport, according to article 384 of the Federal Penal Code.

Here are the following circumstances covered by this law:
– If it is perpetrated by two or more persons, one of whom is armed
– If it is perpetrated by two or more persons by duress
– If it is perpetrated by an armed person during night time.
– If it is perpetrated by an armed person by means of duress or threat through the use of arms.
