Google announced that it will extend its work-from-home setup for employees until September 2021, the New York Times reported.
It added that according to CEO Sundar Pichai, it is also testing the idea of a “flexible workweek” once it is deemed safe to return to the office.
With this, employees will work at least three days a week in the office, while working from home for the rest of the week.
“We are testing a hypothesis that a flexible work model will lead to greater productivity, collaboration, and well-being,” The New York Times quoted Pichai’s email as saying.
