The United States’ Centers for Disease Control (CDC) is now recommending to lessen the standard quarantine period for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) from 14 days to 7-10days.
The CDC is expected to revise its guidance on COVID isolation period, at least in the United States.
In a report by the Associated Press, the updated guidelines will let people who have come in contact to someone infected with the coronavirus to end quarantine after 10 days.
The isolation period can be shortened to seven days if they will get a negative test.
