Democrat presidential candidate Joseph Biden Jr. won Maine 54.5% over Trump’s 42.3% of votes, widening the electoral vote in his favor 227 to 213.
As of 12:30 pm UAE time, data from the New York Times count, Joe Biden leads with 227 electoral votes, a 49.7% vote percentage and a total vote count of 66,429,505.
Trump remains with 213 electoral votes, a 48.5% vote percentage from 64,811,958 vote count.
Trump recently won at Texas and Florida and leads other battleground states including Pennsylvania, Georgia, Michigan, and Wisconsin, while Biden continues to lead his vote margin in Arizona.
North Carolina has both candidates on almost equal footing, with Trump leading by a small margin of 1.4%.
