Filipinos and expats working in the private sector will enjoy a three-day paid holiday next week on the occasions of the UAE’s Commemoration Day and 49th National Day.
The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) has officially announced that the private sector will be on paid holidays from December 1, Tuesday for the Commemoration Day, formerly known as ‘Martyr’s Day’.

The holidays extend to Wednesday and Thursday (December 2 and 3) to celebrate the UAE’s 49th National Day themed ‘Seeds of the Union’ this year.
This means that those who enjoy a two-day weekend will get up to five days of holidays next week.
