A man has been arrested by the Taguig City Police after stealing grocery items on Saturday.

Based on the report of the Southern Police District, the man went to a grocery store in Bonifacio Global City and took grocery items but left without paying at the cashier.

The guard asked the man for the receipts of the grocery items, but the suspect failed to present one.

When asked, the man said he did it for his children.

Seized from the suspect were four packs of milk, a pack of hotdog, 10 packs of 3-in-1 coffee, air freshener, and a pack of diaper.

The total amount of grocery items was at Php3,500.

The man was held in custody at the Taguig City Police Station. He is facing theft charges.
