His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has received the first dose of the vaccine against the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid took to Twitter to thank the UAE’s frontliners and teams behind the country’s progressive vaccine movement who have all been instrumental to ensure the safety of all those who have received the jab.

“While receiving the COVID-19 vaccine today. We wish everyone safety and great health, and we are proud of our teams who have worked relentlessly to make the vaccine available in the UAE. The future will always be better in the UAE,” said His Highness.

Earlier, the UAE also witnessed several of the UAE’s leaders who have received their first dose to immunize themselves against the viral disease.

The UAE has approved the use of the COVID-19 vaccine for emergency use in September 2020, especially for individuals in the frontlines such as nurses, doctors, teachers, and those working in the medical field, to name a few.
