Actress Liza Soberano apologized for her earlier tweet criticizing the poster of the movie ‘Tililing’.

In a tweet, Soberano apologized if she had offended anyone with her tweet, adding that her intentions were “misinterpreted”.

“I always want the best for films that tap into mental health, so I wish this film all the best. Looking forward to seeing it,” she said.

Her tweet on Monday gained many reactions on social media after she commented on the poster saying mental health is “no joke”.

The film’s director Darryl Yap assured the actress that they will not fail in their aim to release the film.

He urged Soberano to watch the film so she could understand why it was given that title and why the actors in it posed that way in the poster.

He added that they are one with the actress in advocating for mental health.

One of the film’s cast and actor Baron Geisler, in a Facebook post, supported Yap’s statement while also narrating his own struggle as a former Philippine Mental Health Association (PMHA) Cebu warrior.

He added that he will be going to Davao on Feb. 14 together with his wife for a radio guesting to promote mental health advocacy.

The film also stars veteran actress Gina Pareno, Candy Pangilinan, Donnalyn Bartolome, Chad Kinis and Yumi Lacsamana. (ES)
