The government’s vaccination drive has already reached nearly half of the entire population, prioritizing high-risk individuals such as senior citizens, people with chronic diseases, frontliners, and people of determination. Dr. Rohit Kumar, medical director at Medeor Hospital said in a report on Khaleej Times that while vaccination doesn’t offer 100 per cent protection, it greatly reduces the chances of getting infected with the virus.
Health experts also commended the UAE’s extensive efforts on containing the coronavirus with its preventive guidelines that vary across all seven emirates. Arshia Najeem of Aster Clinics stated that the government’s awareness drive to spread information on prevention has helped to avoid the virus from spreading as well. (TDT)
