An African man has been sentenced for nine-month imprisonment by a Dubai court for brutally assaulting his roommate in their apartment.

The suspect will then be deported after he served his jail time.

In a report on Gulf Today, the incident took place inside an apartment that both the victim and the defendant are renting.

The suspect was reportedly drunk when the assault happened. The two had an argument over the usage of their washroom.

The argument then turned physical and the suspect later on grabbed the bottle and smashed it into the victim’s body.

The victim sustained injuries on both his arms, leading to a permanent disability according to his doctor.

The defendant then asked another roommate to call the police after the incident.

He left the apartment, and he went to the guard station while waiting for the police to arrest him. (TDT)
