The recent comments of Kapamilya television host Vice Ganda on why Filipinos should be choosy when it comes to vaccines did not sit well with Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque.
Roque slammed comments that vaccines can be compared to laundry soaps.
The palace spokesperson added that a number of experts are reviewing all vaccines that want to enter the country.
In a tweet last week, Vice said that Filipinos have the right to be choosy.
Ano to basta may maisaksak lang?! Vaklang twoooaahhh!!!” the TV host said.
Roque also drew flak for saying that Filipinos can’t choose which vaccine will be available since this will not be mandatory and will rely heavily on the supply available.
So far, Chinese-made Sinovac is set to be the first vaccine to arrive in February. (TDT)
