A 28 year-old Asian man has been jailed after a criminal court found him guilty and robbing a man amounting to AED2,500 in Dubai.

The incident took place in November when the victim filed a case in a police station against the defendant saying he was physically assaulted in the streets of Dubai after he withdrew money from an ATM.

In a report on Gulf Today, the suspect used a pepper spray after the victim took his money from the machine.

The two fought until the defendant escaped with the victim’s money.

Investigators were able to reveal the identity of the thief and were arrested by the police.

The defendant confessed to his crime and was charged with robbery.  (TDT)
