Frontline workers were among the recipients of the COVID-19 vaccine to all residents in the UAE.

According to the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP), they were given priority since its approval at the start of the vaccination program in October 2020.

They were part of the 250,000 people who received two doses of the vaccine.

In total, 1,086,568 doses were already given out, a milestone in the vaccination program in the country.

The vaccine, which is given free of charge, is made available to all segments of the community, whether citizens and residents. Elderly people and those with chronic diseases were also encouraged to get themselves vaccinated.

It is available in all public and private health establishments across the country.

MoHAP, in its latest update as of Jan. 10 (Sunday), it reported that 66,219 people have received the COVID-19 vaccine over the last 24 hours. (ES)
