The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration has hoisted Signal no. 2 to parts of Samar, Leyte, and Surigao as ‘Auring’ continues to accelerate.

Authorities advise residents to expect moderate to heavy rains over the areas of Caraga, Eastern Visayas, Misamis Oriental, Bukidnon, Camiguin, Catanduanes, Albay, and Sorsogon until tomorrow, February 22.

Residents are also warned of scattered flooding and flash floods and are advised to be wary of rain-induced landslides.

Here’s the entire list of affected areas and their respective signal warnings:

Signal no. 2:

– The central and southern portions of Eastern Samar (Taft, Sulat, San Julian, Borongan City, Maydolong, Balangkayan, Llorente, Hernani, General Macarthur, Quinapondan, Balangiga, Lawaan, Giporlos, Salcedo, Mercedes, Guiuan),
– The central and southern portions of Samar (Hinabangan, Calbiga, Pinabacdao, Villareal, Basey, Marabut, Santa Rita)
– The eastern portion of Leyte (Babatngon, Tacloban City, San Miguel, Alangalang, Santa Fe, Palo, Tanauan, Pastrana, Dagami, Tabontabon, Tolosa, Julita, Burauen, Dulag, La Paz, Mayorga, Macarthur, Javier, Abuyog, Mahaplag)
