Public bus commuters were at a standstill after buses temporarily halted their journeys on the morning of February 17, Wednesday, due to heavy fog formations.

A representative from the Abu Dhabi Integrated Transport Centre confirmed to The Filipino Times that bus operations have been put on hold, and advised that public bus transportation will only resume once the fog clears.

This is the second day in a row that bus services have been suspended. Yesterday, February 16, bus operations resumed at around 9:00am.

An advisory from the National Center for Meteorology states that the entire country faces visibility of less than 1000M.

Fog formations are expected to last until around 11:00 am.

Abu Dhabi Police has advised motorists that the speed reduction system has been activated to 80 Km/h on several roads, including the Maktoum Bin Rashid Road (Abu Dhabi – Dubai) and the Mohammed Bin Rashid Road (Abu Dhabi – Dubai).
