The second autopsy conducted by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) on the body of flight attendant Christine Dacera yielded body fluids.
An NBI source said that 100 milliliters of bodily fluids were discovered during the second autopsy performed in General Santos City over the weekend, said in a GMA News report.
The fluids and organs obtained from Dacera will be subjected to DNA analysis.
“We have very interesting leads. We have very encouraging results. Kaya malalaman kung may presence of alcohol, level of alcohol maybe, presence of illegal drugs,” NBI Deputy Director Ferdinand Lavin said.
The NBI is also expressing the possibility of a crime. “May crime. Let’s leave it at that. May crime dito,” Lavin said.
The NBI is also waiting from the tests conducted by the Makati Medical Center, where the flight attendant was declared dead on arrival.
Meanwhile, the legal counsels of only eight of the 11 respondents summoned by the NBI appeared before authorities on Monday.
“We’re giving them their equal chance at the investigation level. If they ignore that… then whatever pieces of evidence we have at hand by the time we have concluded the investigation, then we will file the case if we see any violations,” the NBI said.
