Award-winning actress Janine Gutierrez is now an official Kapamilya.
The actress signed her contract with ABS-CBN on Friday, confirming rumors of her network transfer after almost a decade of working with GMA-7.
Present at her contract-signing were ABS-CBN chairman Mark Lopez, president and CEO Carlo Katigbak, COO of broadcast Cory Vidanes, CFO Ric Tan, Dreamscape Entertainment head Deo Endrinal, and Gutierrez’s manager Leo Dominguez.
Gutierrez recently bagged major acting awards for her film ‘Babae at Baril’.
The network has yet to announce the projects lined up for the newest Kapamilya star.
The 31-year-old actress’ move is considered to be a huge risk since some of ABS-CBN talents moved to other networks following the non-renewal of ABS-CBN franchise.
Gutierrez has also been vocal on socio-political issues and even had a rift with returning Kapuso actor and Senator Bong Revilla Jr.
Revilla however denied that he had a role on Gutierrez’s transfer to the Kapamilya network. (TDT)
