Vaccine Czar Carlito Galvez revealed that the  Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines may be the first one to arrive first than China’s Sinovac.

The Philippines will be meeting with representatives from the COVAX facility, a global partnership that aims to ensure equitable distribution of the vaccines among countries, for its application for the early rollout of the drug.

“Baka mauna ang Pfizer because the COVAX facility will be deploying the early rollout of Pfizer, so iintayin din namin ‘yun sa February,” Galvez told ABS-CBN News.

Galvez said that 20 million people will benefit from the free vaccines.

“Natutuwa po kami kasi 20 million people will be benefitting from these free vaccines,” he said.

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said that 25 million of China’s Sinovac vaccine will be supplied to the Philippines.

The first 50,000 will arrive in the country next month. (TDT)
