In order to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and exposure of patients and healthcare personnel, the Dubai Health Authority has suspended few non-urgent dental services.
The move to reduce the number of dental clinics across DHA is part of the precautionary measure to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Dental services will be made available from Sunday to Thursday from 7:30AM to 9:30PM only.
The services will be available in the following health centers:
Al Mizhar
Nad Al Hamar
Al Barsha
Al Safa
Al Mamzar (for children only)
Rashid and Hatta hospitals.
“Nad Al Hamar Centre and Al Barsha Centre will cater to emergency dental cases only, while the remaining health facilities will cater to patients with prior appointments”, the DHA added.
Dental services for emergency situations are still being provided following health protocols.

The DHA ensures that medical personnel will be wearing special face masks, face shields, gloves, and medical suits.
“Other measures implemented at the facilities include ensuring physical distancing between customers and comprehensive sterilization after each patient,” the DHA added.
The DHA has also suspended non-essential surgeries for a month. (TDT)
