Dubai has maintained the highest level of protection against the COVID-19 pandemic and has ensured the full compliance with preventive and precautionary measures.

The Dubai government issued this clarification in reaction to a story about the COVID-19 situation in the city.

In an article recently published by a wire agency, it said that Dubai faces its biggest COVID-19 surge.

The Dubai Government’s Media Office issued a statement rebuffing the claims, according to a report by Gulf News.

To combat the pandemic, Dubai has started a massive free vaccination campaign, with more than 120 vaccination centers set up across the emirate.

So far, the UAE has administered over two million COVID-19 vaccine doses, covering a fifth of its population.

The UAE is also one of the countries in the world with lowest death rate at 0.3 percent. (CC)
