The Dubai Police have solved a murder case involving an Asian worker who allegedly killed a man who he claimed sexually assaulted him.

Brigadier Abdul Haleem Al Hashemi, director of the Al Qusais Police Station, said that the Asian worker killed his roommate by using a sharp tool and his head.

Before his arrest, Al Hashemi said the driver was pretending to claim that he found the body of the victim in a pool of blood

“The Asian driver claimed that he went outside to perform prayers and put fuel to the car before returning to the room when he found his friend in a pool of blood,” Al Hashemi said in a report on Gulf News.

Investigators asked the employers and even the victim’s brother if he had any dispute with anyone but yielded no results.

Authorities then turned into evidence gathered in the crime scene including a blood stain in the Asian’s driver’s clothes.

The discovery then led to the arrest of the roommate.

“A team of crime scene experts then found a tiny blood stain on the driver’s clothes. The sample was the victim’s blood. When confronted, the driver admitted to killing the victim to take revenge for sexually abusing him,” Al Hashemi added/

The Asian driver was referred to the Dubai Prosecution.

“Making prompt arrests in such cases reaffirm the sense of security in society. The case was solved very quickly in collaboration with officers from the Criminal Investigation Department at Dubai Police,” the official said.
