Indonesian authorities have pinpointed the location of two black boxes from the crashed Indonesian jet.

In a report by AFP, Soerjanto Tjahjanto, head of Indonesia’s transport safety agency, said they already have the positions of these two black boxes.

Their divers will also start looking for them now.

Tjahjanto is hoping that it will not be long before they can retrieve them.

The two black boxes referring to the cockpit voice and flight data recorders are crucial in understanding what really happened to the aircraft with 62 people on board.

Sriwijaya Air Boeing 737-500 passenger aircraft crashed on Saturday into the Java Sea minutes after its takeoff.
