The UAE Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (FAIC) launched a digital initiative that aims to update the data of residents and citizens for easier response against coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

The “Your Data, Your Identity” will update personal information of these individuals either through the FAIC app or its website. Brigadier Murshid Al Mazrouei, Executive Director of Population Data at the Federal Authority, said it will help the medical sector easily deal with the pandemic.

“The initiative provides a digital system that meets the requirements of the health sector and other sectors. It is a pivotal role in ensuring the continuity of government services and providing them in accordance with the best standards of efficiency and flexibility,” he said.

According to him, the first phase of the initiative will focus on updating the data of UAE nationals aged 18 to 60 beginning October 28, to be followed shortly by residents.
