The Dubai Court of Appeal has upheld a two-year prison term for a person who posed as a woman police officer to rob an expat.

The defendant robbed an Asian man and used a card of the Dubai Police with the logo to convince the victim of being a CID officer.

After punching the victim, he took away the wallet containing AED 6,700 after forcible entry into the car.

The accused wore women’s clothes and his face was covered as he showed a white card with the Dubai Police logo.

The man was also wearing a mask.

The Court of Appeal upheld the ruling of the Criminal Court of imprisonment of two years and a fine of AED6,700.
