Meghan Markle revealed in an exclusive interview with Oprah that there were concerns from the British royal family that the skin of her son Archie would be ‘too dark’ before he was born. This led to hesitations to give him the title of being a prince.
Meghan is a daughter of a Black woman before she entered the royal family in 2018. She also said that there were times when she entertained suicidal thoughts.

“They didn’t want him to be a prince or princess, not knowing what the gender would be, which would be different from protocol, and that he wasn’t going to receive security,” Meghan told Oprah.
“In those months when I was pregnant, all around this same time, so we have in tandem the conversation of, ‘you won’t be given security, not gonna be given a title’ and also concerns and conversations about how dark his skin might be when he’s born,” she added.

Meghan, however, refused to name the person who aired that particular concern.
She also said that she had been silenced to talk about the matter.
The couple resigned from their royal duties after moving to the United States. Meghan and Harry married each other in 2018. (TDT)
