The ‘Freedom’ concert of Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez managed to break records in the digital concert scene.

“Regine’s FREEDOM is the biggest earning concert on KTX to date,” KTX.ph boss Gian Vizcarra said in a report on Pep.ph.

The concert was postponed to February 28 from its original Valentine’s Day schedule. Velasquez was on quarantine after she was exposed to a person who tested positive for COVID-19.

“Nanganak pa nga dahil send lang ako nang send kay Raul ng mga bagong piyesa dahil sa mga bagong inspiration ko, tulad ng feature on Britney and the principles she stood for,” Regine said.

The quarantine gave the singer more time to prepare for the digital concert.

“Ito ang may pre-and post-concert events na successful din at talagang siksik ang sponsors,” Gian said.

Regine sang at least 20 songs for the concert. She paid tribute to those who died from COVID-19, rendered her own version of a Britney Spears song, and even performed a duet with herself in a song number.
