The Philippine National Police (PNP) will keep an eye on couples who showing public displays of affection.
In an interview over DZMM TeleRadyo, PNP spokesperson Ildebrandi Usana has announced this measure on Tuesday as part of their intensified efforts to ensure the observance of minimum health and safety protocols in localities, commercial, and recreational establishments.
Usana identified these acts of physical intimacy as holding hands, kissing, and embracing each other in public.
He clarified that this is not only limited to couples. Close friends and family members showing such actions will be called out by the police.
The order came after there’s been an observed spike in COVID-19 cases in the country. (TDT)
